Planting Seeds of Hope in 2025 ♥️
Bob and Gloria have returned to the United States after an incredibly rewarding and inspiring journey to Africa. Their time in Uganda was filled with deep encouragement and meaningful connections as they witnessed firsthand how the projects they support are transforming the lives of impoverished children and communities.
During their visit, they had the opportunity to see the direct impact of the programs they help fund, from providing essential resources to offering educational and developmental opportunities for children in need. Walking through the villages, meeting the children, and speaking with families reinforced the importance of these initiatives in breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a pathway for a brighter future.
A highlight of their trip was spending valuable time with Richard Mwesigwa and his wife Vian and children, their dedicated partner on the ground in Uganda. Through heartfelt conversations and hands-on experiences, Bob and Gloria became family while living with Richard and gained deeper insight into the specific needs of the children and the types of programs that would make the most significant difference in their lives. Whether it was discussing access to quality education, ensuring children have nutritious meals, or developing sustainable community programs, every moment spent in Uganda further fueled their passion for this mission.
Their journey was not just about seeing progress but also about strengthening relationships, fostering new ideas, and reaffirming their commitment to serving these communities. As they settle back into life in the U.S., Bob and Gloria carry with them a renewed sense of purpose and excitement for the future of the work being done in Uganda.
Stay tuned as they continue to share stories, updates, and ways to get involved in making a lasting difference in the lives of these incredible children!

Heart 2 Heart Nursery & Primary school
Announcing our new pioneer work Heart 2 Heart Nursery & Primary school in Rushaga Village, Uganda. Denis and Daisy Richards brother in law are in the photo below with their two sweet children. They are directors and teachers at H2H school in Rushaga, Uganda. We are grateful for their hearts mission to help these children.
Practical Education
Heart 2 Heart School is not only a place of education but a nurturing environment where children are empowered for a brighter future. Beyond academics, the school incorporates vegetable gardening into the curriculum, teaching students practical skills that promote self-sufficiency and sustainability. By equipping them with both education and essential resources, we are helping to create a foundation of hope for the next generation.
Partnering for a Better Future
At Heart 2 Heart Nursery & Primary School, we are partnering with Richard Mwesigwa and his wife Vian, by working to improve the lives of these children by providing education, meals, and essential supplies—but we need your help!
Here’s how you can help transform their lives:
Support clean water initiatives – Help us bring safe drinking water closer to the school.
Provide cooking resources – Reducing the need for firewood collection allows children to focus on their education.
Sponsor a child – For $45 per month, you can provide a Batwa child with school fees, food, and supplies.
Help us build a better learning environment – With proper resources, these children can have a chance at a brighter future.
The Batwa children are full of hope, resilience, and potential, but they need our support to overcome these daily struggles. Together, we can change their story—one child, one meal, and one school day at a time.
Will you stand with us to make a difference?
Your support can bring clean water, education, and opportunities to these children. Join us in breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a brighter futurefor the Batwa community.
Join Us in Making a Difference
This incredible experience at the Heart 2 Heart primary school in Uganda has reinforced our commitment to serving children in need. But we can’t do it alone! If you have a heart for helping and want to be part of this mission—whether through volunteering, donating, or spreading the word—we would love for you to join us.
Together, we can continue clothing hearts, lifting spirits, and transforming lives—one child at a time.
Basic Necessities
In the heart of Rushaga Village, Uganda, the Batwa children face daily hardships that many of us can hardly imagine. One of the greatest challenges they endure is the lack of access to clean water. Every day, these children must walk long distances to fetch water from a river—a source that is not only far from their school but also contaminated.
This unsafe water is used for drinking, cooking, and washing, exposing them to waterborne diseases and severe health risks. Without proper sanitation or filtration, these children and their families remain vulnerable to illness and malnutrition, making it even harder for them to attend school regularly and focus on their education.
Many Projects in Africa
We are thrilled to share some exciting updates on the latest projects completed at Heart 2 Heart in Village K—all made possible through the generosity and support of our amazing donors and partners!
Rabbit Hutch Completed! (Thank you, H2H Intl.)
A brand-new rabbit hutch has been built in Village K, providing a sustainable way to teach children animal care and introduce a small-scale livestock project. Rabbits are not only an excellent source of protein but also offer an opportunity for students to learn about responsibility and agricultural sustainability. This project will help supplement food resources and potentially generate income for the school in the future.
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our supporters, the H2H Medical Clinic in Uganda has undergone a much-needed renovation, making it a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming space for those in need of medical care.
Freshly painted walls and newly installed shelves (Thank you, Jan Endicot!) – The clinic now has a brighter, more organized environment for both medical staff and patients.
Cement flooring (Thank you, anonymous donors) – Replacing the dirt floors with cement flooring has made a significant difference in improving hygiene, durability, and overall patient care. This upgrade ensures a cleaner, more sanitary space, benefiting everyone who visits the clinic.
Rushaga Village, Uganda. We are excited to share that 20 benches have been built at Heart 2 Heart (H2H) Rushaga Village, Uganda, providing much-needed seating for the 53 children at Cornerstone Nursery & Primary School!
These benches will create a more comfortable and structured learning environment, allowing students to focus on their education without the hardship of sitting on the ground. This is another step toward improving the quality of education and daily life for these children.
Urgent Needs for the Batwa
At Heart 2 Heart Nursery & Primary School in Uganda, we are working hard to improve the learning environment for our children, but we need your help to make essential upgrades!
Land Expansion for Growth – We urgently need to purchase one acre of land for $5,000 to accommodate more students and expand our programs. Additional improvements, including infrastructure and educational resources, will follow once the land is secured.
Roof Repairs Needed – We must replace many large iron sheet roofs on our school buildings to provide safe and durable shelter for the students and also collect rain water.
500-Gallon Water Tank – Installing a rainwater collection system will provide clean water for drinking, cooking, and maintaining our veggie gardenon the hillside.
Will you help us complete this vital project? Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to giving these children a safe, sustainable, and thriving school environment.
Together, we can build a better future for the children in Rushaga Village, Uganda. Please consider giving today!
