Gratitude & Vision 2026 Newsletter

His People. His Mission. His Plan. His Purposes. His Kingdom.

As we step into 2026, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and vision. Everything we do is about His Kingdom—His people, His mission, and His purposes unfolding in beautiful and sometimes unexpected ways.

Our main purpose for traveling to Uganda was to build Kingdom relationshipsHis people—and to see firsthand the major projects and purchased items already on the ground. Being present matters. When we are involved, it creates a shared sense of oneness, purpose, and excitementthat cannot be replaced.

Dedication & Servanthood in Uganda

During our time in Uganda, we were deeply moved by the dedication, servanthood, and genuine love displayed by the team each day. Their care for the children, their commitment to one another, and the way they honored the Heart 2 Heart leaders and guests reflected humility and unity in action. Every task—seen and unseen—was carried out with joy and purpose. This was not simply work; it was ministry lived out through service. What we witnessed was Kingdom work in action, where love leads, faith strengthens, and every person matters.

The entire H2H International team at Heart 2 Heart Nursery & Primary School coming together in fellowship and service was truly something special. It truly takes a village to care for and educate the many children of the Batwa community.

Heart 2 Heart School & Community Needs

At Heart 2 Heart school, we are blessed to serve 59 children, with more joining each year. While their hearts are full of joy, laughter, and curiosity, they currently have no dedicated space to play.

Play is not a luxury—it is essential. It helps children grow physically, emotionally, and socially. It creates space for laughter, friendship, creativity, and healing. Right now, our children have limited room, and many still play where they learn, eat, and gather.

Play is not a luxury—it is essential

It creates space for laughter, friendship, creativity, and healing.

Our prayer is to build a safe playground where our children can simply be children—running, climbing, laughing, and resting in joy.

We are praying for provision, partners, and the land needed to make this possible. A playground is more than equipment; it is a place of freedom, growth, and hope for every child at Heart 2 Heart.

If you feel led to help make this vision a reality, we invite you to pray with us and consider sowing into this need.

Monthly Staff Support

Monthly cost for caring for those who pour daily into our children is vital:

  • Head Teacher: Daisy – $150

  • Medical Nurse: —Judith $150

  • Teachers (3): $100 each – $300

  • Two Cooks / Guard: $120

  • Gardener: (amount TDB)

  • Agricultural Specialist / Pastor Denis:(amount TBD)

School Furniture

No child should have to sit on the ground to learn. At Heart 2 Heart, we believe every child deserves dignity and comfort while learning.

  • 10 desks needed

A one-time gift of $450 would make an immediate and lasting impact—transforming the daily classroom experience for our children and giving them the support they need to focus, grow, and succeed.

Nurse Judith stocking medicine in the H2H Medical clinic Uganda, Africa

H2H Medical Clinic

This is a huge vision—and we trust God’s timing.

Heart 2 Heart Medical Clinic

We now have a small medical clinic with Nurse Judith lovingly caring for our Heart 2 Heart children, parents, and staff. We need monthly $100-$200 worth of medicine for the H2H children, parents and the villagers that come to get treated here.
Looking ahead, we hope to one day build a hospital to serve more than 6,000 villagers in Rushaga Village. This is a huge vision—and we trust God’s timing.

Kyasimire Judith is the dedicated nurse serving our Heart 2 Heart Medical Clinic in Rushaga Village.

She received her nursing education at Uganda Nursing School, Bwindi, now known as African University of Science and Management.

Directors, Bob and Gloria Cooper with nurse Judith in the Heart 2 Heart Primary School.

Judith’s Passion & Vision

Her heart for this work is evident in the care she provides each day.

Why Judith Chose Nursing

Judith felt a calling to nursing because of her deep love for people and her desire to serve at every stage of life. Her heart for this work is evident in the care she provides each day.

  • To interact personally with patients and offer compassionate care

  • To help mothers safely deliver their unborn babies

  • To support and care for the elderly

  • To provide nurturing care to newborn babies

Her Passion & Vision

Judith’s passion goes far beyond her daily duties. Her desire is to serve those who otherwise may have no access to medical care.

  • To treat people who cannot afford medical services

  • To see the current drug shop and clinic grow into a full hospital

  • To provide a place where families throughout the Bwindi region can turn for trusted medical care and assurance

We are deeply grateful for Nurse Judith and the love, professionalism, and hope she brings to the Heart 2 Heart family every day.

Children’s Day was a beautiful celebration filled with laughter, music, dancing, and smiles

Children’s Day at Christmas

Heart 2 Heart Nursery & Primary School
Rushaga Village, Uganda

Christmas at Heart 2 Heart is about more than gifts—it’s about love, joy, and being seen.

Children’s Day was a beautiful celebration filled with laughter, music, dancing, and smiles. The children enjoyed a special Christmas Day where they were celebrated, fed, prayed over, and reminded just how deeply they are loved. For many, this was more than a holiday—it was a day of hope and belonging. These moments reflect the heart of Heart 2 Heart: creating a safe place where children can grow, learn, and experience the love of Jesus in tangible ways.

Safari & Missions House – Kabale, Uganda

Perched high above the city, the House on the Hill in Kabale became our home away from home during our time in Uganda. From the hilltop, we enjoyed sweeping views overlooking the city of Kabale, a place of both beauty and rest between long days of ministry.

We were blessed with delicious, healthy Ugandan meals, lovingly prepared and shared. Every meal became a moment of fellowship, gratitude, and connection. We are deeply thankful for Richard and Vian, whose hospitality went far beyond providing a place to stay. They opened their home—and their hearts—to us in a way that made us feel like family.

Christmas, New Year 2026, and more than 25 days together were filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and shared moments we will always treasure. Each morning, we prepared for the two-hour, bumpy drive to Rushaga Village, where the Heart 2 Heart school, medical clinic, Jungle Java, and many ongoing projects are located.

The House on the Hill was not just a place of rest—it was a launching point for mission, prayer, planning, and purpose.

We were impressed with the dedication, servant hood and love the team has for the children, one another as well as  H2H leaders and guests.

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up"
