Healing and Hope
Kyasimire Judith is the dedicated nurse serving our Heart 2 Heart Medical Clinic in Rushaga Village.
H2 Medical Clinic
In many parts of rural Africa, healthcare is not something people can easily access.
For many children, even basic medical care meant traveling long distances—or going without treatment altogether. Minor illnesses could quickly become serious, and preventable conditions often went untreated.
Today, something different is taking root…
At the Heart 2 Heart Medical Clinic, a small but meaningful space now exists where children, parents, and community members can receive care and get medicine. It’s not a large facility—but it’s enough to make a real difference in everyday life and increase accessibility. H2H supports a full time medical nurse in the clinic.
“Heal the sick… Freely you have received; freely give”
At the center of it all is Nurse Judith.
Judith received her nursing education at Uganda Nursing School in Bwindi and felt called to serve others through healthcare. That calling shows up daily in the way she cares for patients—whether it’s treating children, supporting mothers, caring for the elderly, or helping welcome new life into the world.
Her work goes beyond routine care.
She serves people who otherwise may have no access to medical services. She provides compassion where there was once uncertainty. And she carries a vision of something even greater—a future where this small clinic grows into a hospital that could serve more than 6,000 people in the surrounding community.
For now, the needs are simple but essential.
Basic medicine—often just $100–$200 per month—helps treat common illnesses, support recovery, and keep children healthy enough to stay in school. These are everyday resources, but without them, care becomes limited.
Ongoing support helps keep this clinic functioning—stocking medicine, supporting care, and allowing people to receive treatment close to home.
It’s a quiet kind of progress.
One patient at a time.
One family at a time.
One step closer to something BIGGER!
And while the vision of a full hospital may take time, the foundation is already being laid—through steady care, faithful service, and a growing sense of hope within the community.
If being part of something that’s growing step by step speaks to you, there are simple ways to support and follow along with what’s happening here.
