Expanding Hope in Rashaga Village, Uganda
We are excited to share the next chapter of what God is building through Heart 2 Heart International (H2H Intl) in Rashaga Village, Uganda.
Just eight months ago, H2H Intl launched the Heart 2 Heart Nursery & Primary School — a place where over 50 Batwa and vulnerable children have found access to education, care, and daily nourishment. With a small but committed team of 2 teachers, and a cook/security guard, the school has quickly become a beacon of hope and light for the entire community. It costs $150 a month for a teacher and $60 a month for the cook/ security and $100 a month for a part time nurse. Sponsorship and donations are needed to support our team on the ground.
Today, we stand at a pivotal moment. We are now raising $15,700 to purchase an additional two acres of land that include access to a natural spring, providing the critical resource of clean water for the children, staff, and broader Rashaga community.
This new land will allow us to:
Secure sustainable clean water directly on the school property
Expand the school grounds to serve even more children
Launch agricultural projects to support food security and student nutrition
Create safe play areas and space for future mission housing
How We Started
Earlier this year, H2H Intl was blessed by the generosity of an anonymous donor who made it possible to purchase half an acre of land, where the school’s first four simple mud-hut structures were established. It was a powerful beginning — but only the start of the vision God has placed before us. Stay tuned, we are awaiting an estimate to learn how much this will cost in the next newsletter or on our website.
Where We Are Going:
We are actively planning and raising funds for the next crucial building phases:
Phase 1: Rebuild the school’s kitchen facility, ensuring safer, more efficient food preparation for students and staff.
Phase 2: Construct permanent, durable classrooms for grades 1 through 4, replacing the temporary structures currently in use.
Looking Even Further Ahead
With the additional land and infrastructure improvements, future phases include:
Drilling a well to provide reliable year-round water access
Establishing school gardens to teach agricultural skills and supplement student meals
Expanding enrollment to serve even more children from vulnerable communities
Building teachers with monthly donation support of $150 to obtain quality educators
Vocational school creation to encourage life and job skills
Every gift you sow into this work directly transforms lives.
Heart 2 Heart International is committed not only to providing education but also to raising up a generation equipped with the tools, faith, and opportunities to change their future.
Thank you for standing with us. Together, we are building much more than buildings — we are building a future for Rashaga’s children and families for generations to come.

Partnership Rashaga Village, Uganda
At Heart 2 Heart International, we believe that strong, trusted local partnerships are the key to making lasting change in the communities we serve. One of the incredible leaders we are honored to work with is Richard Meswanga, a man whose heart for the children of Rashaga Village, Uganda, is making a profound impact.
Richard has been doing remarkable work on the ground, helping to bring education, hope, and opportunity to the Batwa and vulnerable children in Rashaga. His deep commitment to serving these young lives is evident in everything he does — from coordinating school efforts to providing essential support for the local community.
But Richard’s vision doesn’t stop there.
In addition to his work with the children, Richard is creating sustainable economic opportunities for the region through a series of exciting new initiatives:
Jungle Java Coffee Shop: Richard is launching a coffee shop designed to provide jobs, support local farmers, and create a welcoming space for visitors and locals alike.
Jungle Tours: He is offering guided jungle tours, showcasing the stunning beauty of Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda and Tanzania’s landscape and providing visitors a chance to experience the region’s rich culture and environment firsthand. Book a tour on trip advisor
Bed and Breakfast: For those traveling on mission trips or simply wanting to support local efforts, a Bed and Breakfast has been opened to offer comfortable ambiance, convenient lodging and cultural foods right in the heart of the community.

Renewed Focus in Uganda
At Heart 2 Heart International (H2H Intl), our mission has always been clear — to serve the most vulnerable and to bring lasting hope through education, love, and faith.
After much prayer, reflection, and conversation with our leadership team and partners on the ground, H2H Intl has made the decision to focus our efforts on the Batwa children of Rashaga Village, Uganda.
While Village K continues to be faithfully supported by Faith Ablaze and other generous partners, we recognize that the children of Rashaga face particularly urgent challenges. These young ones live in extremely vulnerable conditions, with limited access to quality education, healthcare, and basic daily needs. Basic medical supplies, food, educational equipment, sports balls, and a nurse are urgently needed for these children. Donations go a long way here, a sponsorship of only $45 a month makes a huge difference.
We believe that by concentrating our resources, energy, and support, we can give the Batwa children of Rashaga the very best opportunity for success — spiritually, academically, and socially. Our goal is not only to meet their immediate needs but to equip them for long-term transformation, empowering them to break cycles of poverty and become leaders in their communities.
This renewed focus will allow us to:
Expand and strengthen Heart 2 Heart Nursery & Primary School
Provide consistent meals, clean water, and medical care
Offer deeper mentorship, discipleship, and emotional support
Build stronger infrastructure, including classrooms, kitchens, and playgrounds
Create a sustainable model for growth that can later be expanded to other villages
We are deeply grateful for every supporter who has walked with us this far, and we are excited about this new season of intentional, focused ministry. Together, we are planting seeds today that will bear fruit for generations to come.

Thank you for standing with us as we continue to bring hope, one heart at a time.

Rabbits
The children take turns feeding, cleaning, and caring for the rabbits, learning about animal husbandry and the importance of stewardship.
Farming for Stability
At Heart 2 Heart International, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom — it includes teaching practical life skills that will sustain families and communities for generations. In Rashaga Village, Uganda, we are excited to share how farming initiatives are helping Batwa and vulnerable children build a foundation for a more stable future.
Hands-On Learning: Physical Education with Purpose
Our farming program is not only about growing food; it’s about growing strong, capable young people. Through daily physical education activities, the children are learning responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. Whether tending to the gardens or caring for animals, each task teaches perseverance, problem-solving, and the value of hard work.
Vegetable Caretakers: Planting Seeds of Hope
Students are learning how to plant, nurture, and harvest vegetables — vital skills in a region where food security is a major challenge. The children have their own garden beds where they practice watering, weeding, and harvesting crops. These fresh vegetables not only supplement daily meals at the school but also instill a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Rabbit Caretakers: Small Livestock, Big Lessons
Rabbit farming is another key part of the program. The children take turns feeding, cleaning, and caring for the rabbits, learning about animal husbandry and the importance of stewardship. Rabbits provide a valuable source of protein and income, helping families and the school become more self-sustaining.
Mama Pig: Preparing for the Next Generation
Excitement is building as we prepare to welcome a new litter of piglets! Mama Pig is expecting, and the children are eagerly learning about pig care and the responsibilities that come with raising livestock. Pigs will offer additional food resources and opportunities for small business ventures in the future, creating even greater stability for the school and surrounding community.
Why Farming Matters
These agricultural projects are much more than daily chores — they are life skills. By equipping Batwa and vulnerable children with the knowledge of farming and livestock care, we are giving them tools to break cycles of poverty and hunger. Farming creates immediate impact today and lasting change for tomorrow.
We are so proud of the progress being made and grateful for every supporter who is helping make these programs possible. Together, we are planting seeds — in the ground and in young hearts — that will grow into a future filled with hope and opportunity.
"So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow."
1 Corinthians 3:7 (NIV)
